The catalog for "Beautiful Losers: Contemporary Art and Street Culture" is one of the most well-thumbed books on our shelf. When we caught the show in San Francisco a few years back, it seemed to have been perfectly curated to suit our particular tastes. So many of our favorite artists were represented: Margaret Kilgallen, Barry McGee, Thomas Campbell, Phil Frost, Clare Rojas, Ed Templeton, Mike Mills, Ryan McGinness...the list goes on and on. The catalog has countless amazing images that document the show as well as the culture from which so much of this great art sprang. Here's a website for the show, which was in Milan in 2006. Paperback, 8.5" x 11", 288 pgs, 220 color and 200 b&w.
