The Curiosity Shoppe is owned and operated by Lauren Smith and Derek Fagerstrom. We left our super fun, kinda crazy lives in New York City and came home to the San Francisco Bay Area to start up the Shoppe for the simple reason that we are obsessed with beautiful things. We're thrilled to be sharing the objects and ideas that delight and inspire us with as many people as possible. Whether it's a favorite art book, a vintage find, a carefully hand-crafted piece of jewelry or a one-of-a-kind painting, we guarantee everything you'll find in the Shoppe is special. The person who dreamed it up gave it their creative all, and we love them for it.

The Curiosity Shoppe respects your privacy. Any personal information that you offer during your visit to our store is strictly between us. It won't be shared, rented, sold, lent, or even hinted at with anyone else.

This site is hosted by Yahoo! Store and has its own set of privacy issues that you should feel free to check out. Yahoo! hosts the store pages, ordering system, and order data. Yahoo! automatically collects order information but may only use this information in the aggregate. If you accessed this store through Yahoo! Shipping: Orders are shipped out twice a week. Depending on the day your order is placed, it will be sent on the following Tuesday or Friday (whichever is closest) and should take 3-7 business days to arrive. Once it has shipped, you can expect a confirmation email from us letting you know that your order is on its way.

We ship via USPS, UPS Ground, 2nd Day, and Next-Day Air. PLEASE NOTE: All orders requesting 2nd Day and Next-Day Air shipping will be shipped on the next Tuesday or Friday, whichever is closest. Orders placed on Tuesdays and Fridays must be received by 12PM PST in order to guarantee that they will go out that day.

NEW SHIPPING OPTION: For our local customers, we are now happily offering "In-store Pick Up" as a shipping (or non-shipping, as it were) option. Place your order online and we'll hold it safe and sound at the Shoppe (855 Valencia between 19th & 20th) until you drop by to pick it up. You will be notified via email when your order is ready. If you have not been claimed your goods within 10 days of our email, your order will be canceled. But you wouldn't let that happen, would you?

Shipping costs for Ground shipments are based on the total amount of your order before sales tax (CA only) or any special discounts are applied. Based on the particulars of certain orders it may prove more time and cost efficient to ship via USPS. We reserve the right to do so in those cases.

*Please note: An additional fee of $10 will be applied to all Ground shipments to Canada, Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico and a couple of other cool and exotic places outside the continental United States that we壇 like to visit someday soon. (Yay American Samoa!! Go Guam!!)

After trying many different ways to address the situation, we have come to the sad conclusion that we can no longer offer international shipping. We have found it impossible to offer a shipping rate we feel is fair to our customers, which will also not result in our losing money. So sorry!!

Returns: Of course we hope you値l love everything you receive from The Curiosity Shoppe. But if for some reason you aren稚 completely satisfied with your purchase, no problemo. Just return the item to us in its original condition within 30 days of receipt and we値l be happy to issue an exchange or refund. (Unfortunately shipping fees are non refundable, and return shipping fees are the responsibility of the customer.)

To make a return, you値l need a Return Authorization number (RA#). To get an RA#, please send an email to: returns@curiosityshoppeonline, and include your order number and a list of the item(s) you are returning in the body of the message. We値l respond with your RA#, which you値l need to include in the address field on your package.

We suggest shipping your package with a carrier such as UPS or FedEx, or via insured USPS Parcel Post just to be safe.

If you receive an item that is damaged or broken, or if we accidentally sent you the wrong item (Oops!) please contact us and we値l send you a replacement right away. We値l also let you know how to send back the problem order at our expense of course.
