We are honored, thrilled and more than just a little excited to feature works by artist Lisa Solomon here at the Shoppe. We love her work for so many reasons, the first, most obvious and superficial one being: "Would we like to see this hanging on a wall in our home? Um, Yes!" But beyond that, her work tickles our brain, it challenges definitions of art and craft, makes connections between things often considered oppositional (handmade vs. machine made, mending vs. destroying, feminine vs. masculine, pretty vs. scary). Lisa's work is important to us because it tells stories and asks questions, like all great art should.
