  
 I'd been wanting to learn to sew for a long time, but had been trapped in a Catch 22 of sorts. Projects I wanted to make were too difficult, and projects that would be good to learn on were U-G-L-Y. This wonderful book was the perfect way for me to start stitching. The projects are all simple and beautiful, and actually surprisingly useful. I've already made a bunch of great things from this book: placemats, napkins, and I'm especially proud of my man-tote, "mote?" "murse?". (see inset photo).
This 144 page book measures 7.5" x 9" and includes 10 pattern sheets, 40 beautiful color photos and loads of cute line drawings throughout.
